The Marina in Albufeira is one of the safest and most sheltered in Europe. It was built in 2003 near the beaches of Arrifes and Sao Raphael and contains numerous colourful apartments and villas, plus a large number of restaurants, bars, shops and other entertainment. In 2016 it was awarded the 5 Gold anchors award of the Yacht Harbour Association and British Marine Federation.
The Marina is approximately 15 minutes by foot to old town Albufeira and Beach, where you will find plenty of beach bars and in the summer large floatables.
There are plenty of different boat trips that depart from the Marina; be it a luxury Catamaran, Pirate Boat or a high-power, adrenalin filled trip in a JET boat, where they completely soak you!
If you are interested in golf, then you will not be disappointed. The Salgados Golf Course is approximately 10 minutes from the apartment and there are other courses in Silves, Vilamoura etc
This superb apartment exceeded all my expectations. It was in a perfect location just 2 minutes from shops and restaurants & 10 minutes walk to the beach and old town, it was beautifully equipped and furnished throughout.
There are a large number of beaches not too far away from the Marina – Arrifes, Sao Raphael, Salgados, Gale, Armacao de Pera and the already mentioned Pescadores Beach in old town Albufeira . There are also numerous waterparks – Aqualand, Slide and Splash and Zoo Marine.

Albufeira is attractive and perfectly located for you to enjoy an amazing holiday, 30 minutes from Faro airport and bustling with local culture and life. It has a thriving community all year round with an inexhaustible host of activities, 25 beaches equating to more than any other municipality in Europe.
The quaint old town is altogether Portuguese and boasts over 100 restaurants alone with a vast selection of shops and bars to browse and enjoy. The historic centre of the old town is great to wander around for and locate your favourite bar with a stunning Ocean view. It has meandering streets that taper to little more than arm span, in classic Old Portuguese style guiding you through the whitewashed houses.
The older part of Albufeira is on high ground, and you’ll find yourself turning a corner and being treated to the sight of the ocean across Praia do Peneco.
Down below there’s a foot tunnel through the rock, taking you straight from the pedestrian street Rua 5 de Outubro out to the wide sandy beach.
The views were amazing, the kitchen, living diner was perfect for us to socialise in. We had a memorable time and loved the walks to the beach.
